IndieSF...Playing good music by artists we believe in

We quietly rolled this out a couple of weeks ago, but DJ Santo and Something Different is now on Thursday nights starting at 9 and is a rebroadcast of the previous Sunday nights show. Santos show is a perfect way to decompress Thursday night and get ready for one more day of work. We will continue to air Something Different Sunday nights starting at 6 and replay those shows Thursday nights starting at 9 (all mtn time).

Different is good.... 

Here are some easy tips on living green beyond St Pattys day:

Tip 1: When going for a brew, hit a LOCAL brewery (the beer should only be green once a year). At home or at your fave brew pub, make sure those suds are being served in glass so nothing is going in the landfill. Pint glasses and the like are SO cheap to buy new at local discount chains but can also be had at second hand shops too - thats more fun usually as you can get mixed designs.

The last weekend of February...you got to be kidding...?! Our own staff tree doctor (arborist?) Rocque Ranaldi says DONT PRUNE! you have to wait...but thats not what I'm here to tell you. Rocque put down some serious roots for Black History month on Friday nights IGD and it is now posted as a podcast.

The other specials we ran including  Miles Davis and the making of Kind Of Blue are all up now for you to grab.

Just a quick note to let you know we have the new U2 in house and have loaded up the Indie library with several additional tracks off No Line On The Horizon (Rolling Stone gave it all 5 of their stars and called it the bands best work since Achtung Baby for what its worth). The music was leaked accidentally by a division of the Universal music group (owners of Interscope/Island) in Australia and then pulled pretty quickly but, by then, it had spread all over the internet thru mostly peer to peer networks. To combat this, the bands label rushed it out to radio this past Friday. After numerous spins both Friday and Saturday here at the house, we have put some of our faves in the Indie library for you to enjoy until the full arrives in stores March 3rd... because  new music happens here first!
